  • Suggested weaving sett: 20-24 epi recommended, though many sett at 29 for towels

  • Color "Small Batch #11 - Liam's Special" - Painted yarn by my 4-year-old son William. We had a painting party a while back. I kept most of what he painted but let him paint 2 for the shop!

This is some heavenly soft 2-ply evenspun cotton yarn. A bit different than my normal Tencel™ yarn, it has a matte finish and is very absorbent, which makes it great for weaving towels. But it is also super soft and comfortable for wearing! Finished pieces are machine washable, though take care with fringe (I would recommend finishing the fringe with braid or twist for stability or hemming).

These are hand-dyed limited-run skeins. This batch of skeins has been painted together with more spontaneity than my other variegated yarns. Once they are gone, they are gone for good!

Liam's Special Small Batch 11

This yarn was originally purchased with the thought of seeing what a young child could do dying yarn, and I figured that if I didn't like the results, I could overdye it. Was I ever shocked when I got it, as it looked much better than the photographs showed! I absolutely LOVE the color combination Liam chose, and can't wait to turn the skeins into something like kitchen/bathroom hand towels!! I'm so glad I purchased it, and will definitely return to buy more yarn from SDF!! (And I also love that my purchases help support a small business!)
